It's still up in the air whether L4D will hit the PS3, but I agree with your second point
Gears of War 2 will help sell some systems, but it won't be a huge system seller for the reasons you gave above.

July is a slow month and Sony is cutting all production of the two current models of the PS3.

Weird, Metal Gear Solid 4 is the fourth ''official'' game in the Metal Gear Solid series, yet people that never played a MGS game before bought it because it was ''teh'' PS3 game. I also consider MGS 4 to be a system seller, so in what position is it then?

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
^Gears of war 1 came out this gen so many ppl would have bought a 360 to play pt 1 already. The previous MGS games came out in the PS2 so many ppl waited for MGS4 to drop to buy a PS3.
Possibly but when are the ioi adjustments going to occur to match NPD figures? Mid august. I notice numbers on all consoles change up to 200k up or down across the board. the Wii always gets boosted up 200k each month. Tells you ioi must love the Wii. Long live the wii do not want to get in the mods bad books. PS3 and X360 always tend to be adjusted down. Hmmm. Now would the Others numbers change if we had more accurate sources verifying console numbers?

I hope what you're saying is right, because as far as I know, I've read more comments about people complaining about the huge amount of cutscenes than praising what Kojima accomplished with the game, a bit like if they've never played a MGS game before and expected something... ''better'' in their eyes.

==> I m guessing that even for a MGS fan, MGS4 has too much cutscene
remember everybody love MGS1
but not everybody love MGS2 ... which has lot of cutscenes !
(no MGS4 spoil plz)
