From July 5 until this weeks numbers (4 week period) The Xbox360 has been tracking pretty closely to the PS3.

Taking into account this weeks numbers for Europe the Xbox360 needs to beat the PS3 by 19,449 units to take the whole month, with the U.S and Japanese numbers still to come.

Chances are that the Xbox360 will beat those numbers and for the first time in ages it will be ahead on a monthly average.

Looks like all those PS3 overtaking Xbox360 predictions will have to be rethought and at least pushed back a month to account for this last one at least.

Heres hoping for the Xbox 360.

depends on the supply of PS3's in America

360 is back on the rise........ it'll win this week making it 3 straight weeks....... it'll make it 4 weeks straignt the week after..... the ps3 will occasionally win between september and october....... but in november with Gears of war 2 and Left 4 Dead........ its GOODNIGHT SONY...... from november the 360 will never look back....

 First of all, sorry to burst your bubble.. but if you didn't already know Left for Dead is also coming on PS3, and im sure Gears 2 will be good, but will DEFINATLY not be a system seller, for 1 reason, since its the second game, most people that want it, already have a 360. And you also seem to forget the killer games that are coming out for PS3.

My hopes are all for PS3.
