Yes, both M$ and SONY executives keep it interesting with comments like these, that's for sure. But, I have to say that I am fed up with nOObs sayin' that the "10 year life thing is crap"! Where have u all been for the PS1 & 2's life spans... still in mommy's womb perhaps?
Sony, unlike M$ has proven this 10 year cycle twice now, how come it is so hard for some peoples thick sculls to believe that the PS3 will have a 10y pattern as well?
Be aware that these current HD graphics arn't gonna change so dramatically with the next HD consoles like they did for Xbox~360 & PS2~PS3. Also, Don't be surprised if Nintendo's first HD console has lower specs than both the current PS3 and 360. And, definitely don't think that the next Xbox will look 5 times better than the PS3 games out when it releases too, those days are gone.
We are slowly reaching a time where looks will not sell a system, original, fun and great games will. The Wii is living proof of this.

I don't care what the hell Sony put in the PS3, a $500 computer will pwn it by 2011. The PS3 will last a good long time, but it won't be selling anything in 2017. Nada.
