Forums - Microsoft - 10 XBLA Games You Should Own

Catan makes the list. That game is awesome. The XBLA game still can't beat the real board game but its still pretty damn awesome.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Around the Network

good list!

My games are (in no particular order):

  • Sonic (the first one)
  • Uno
  • Golden Axe

thats about it. BUT I do own 4800 MS Points

Games I want to get:

  • Streets of Rage 2
  • Banjo
  • Catan

THANK YOU for mentioning catan. I didn't know, this game was released. LOL! I will download it today.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Good list, I own all of these, but only five of them (Pac-Man CE, Catan, Rez HD, Ikaruga, and maybe GW2) would be in my personal XBLA Top 10.

Also, leaving N+ off any XBLA Top 10 list is criminal.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

Catan XBLA can beat the real board game in one thing: it doesn't take 30 minutes to set up, 2 hours to play one  game, and then 30 minutes to put back away.

Hey Munkeh! This list has some good games, but there are tons and tons and tons of other great content in the XBLA. Go to www.xbox.com and check out the list. Tell me you can't find something that doesn't impress you then. I downloaded Superstardust HD, Super Rub a Dub, and the PS1 Crash series the other day. I'll go for some PixelJunk software a little later on. Still, XBLA is in a league of it's own.

The PSN games that I like the most are Warhawk, Super Stardust and Pixeljunk Monsters (well Calling all Cars! as well) and I dont really have much interest in most 2D games, and in the future, fat princess and R & C are the ones I am most interested in. I played a few of the demo included on the console, and they all just seemed really dull

I just dont have any interest in these, I much prefer the content on the PSN store

LOL

Is this a joke?  There are barely enough decent PSN games to even make a top 10 list.

I own exactly 10 PSN games and my top 10 list is:

1) Pixeljunk Monsters

2) Super Stardust

3-9) none

10) Maybe Pain or Pixeljunk Eden?

@ sinha, I am not really crazy about DLG, but you would have to also include calling all cars, tekken dark resurection, warhawk, GT 5 prologue

I only got Uno and Castlevania, maybe I should try Geometry Wars.

I have 7 of them =p. Pac man, Uno, Catan not.

I bought Catan a minute ago and it is very fun. Okay, I lost the first game, but the next one will be mine. Can you play it online via Xbox Live? Didn't check it. This would be awesome, but anyway it is great.
