What is the deal with Wii Music? What is the point of the game? Is there scoring?

I missed this part. Are you serious? Just look at the DS future support, and then look at the psp future support. The psp is getting some great games and already has many great games, but the ds is getting many more.

aside DQ 9 the rest doesn't sound so inspiring.... :/

PSP is getting full square support, japan will be psp for quite a while.

To be honest even if no other game comes out for Wii for the next 2 years I don't think PS3 or 360 would even have a chance. Let alone just the rest of this year. Let alone the fact Wii has Wii Music and Animal Crossing which are likely to outsell anything PS360 have coming out this year and will be much much bigger system sellers.

Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit from today till the end of this gen will sell more than any PS360 game that isn't out yet other than GT5 as I expect both to sell about 8 million more at least. Final Fantasy XIII combined will sell more but I mean on a single platform. So in reality Wii has 2 games already out that are going to move systems far more than anything coming to PS360 this year.

How about DQVI, Black Sigil:Blade of the Exiled, World Destruction,Kh358/2 days,Sigma Harmonics,Metal Slug 7,Castlevania Order of Eclessia, Chrono Trigger, Moon,Soma Bringer, DQIV, DQV,Fire Emblem DS, Avalon Code,Rune Factory 2,Rhapsody:A Music Adventure,Sonic Chronicles:The dark brotherhood, Valkyrie Profile THe Accused One, Gta Chinatown Wars, Luminous Arc 2, Disgaea DS,Tales of Hearts, Wind of Nostalgia,ASH, Kirby and many others that I haven't mentioned. I think he said OUTSIDE japan btw.

First of all Wii would sell this holiday season even if Ninja Breadman was its only release. Secondly it does have games its just they are mainly from 3rd parties which is good. Lot of mainstream games from those 3rd parties which will help sales.

He didnt say anything about quality. He said sales. The entire thread is about whether or not the Wii will be outsold by the 360 or PS3, and the answer is no. With "casual" powerhouses like AC and Wii Music, the Wii will probably be sold out throughout the holidays.

And the Wii has a lot of quality titles coming out this winter that I am looking forward to, but they are not the general hardcore titles the PS3 or 360 is getting. But there are some very interesting titles like de Blob and Deadly Creatures.

True... GTA is horrible and Gran Turismo is incredibly dull.

By the way... Nintendogs is a quality game... it may not be to your tastes but it is made well, it's not buggy, the graphics are technically good (for DS) and they suit the purpose, the "gameplay" is solid and does what it should.

Do I like the game? nope... but that doesn't mean it is made poorly. (similarly Gran Turismo is a quality franchise, doesn't stop it being boring to me, but I can see it's quality.... GTA less so, it can be buggy and lacks a quality sheen)

I think the point your missing is that games can be more than just intense action. What is the point of a game. Enjoyment, fun, experience. WiiMusic is designed to be a relaxing enjoyment experience. Not a score counter intense rock on game. There is a market because people like to relax. So yes there is a point, it has a job and will do it well. Will you like it, no. Will I choose WiiMusic over GH, no. Can I have WiiMusic to enjoy with my 3 & and 9 year old kids yes. Because it's more about he relaxing experience.

For others. Why is there the view that if it's not from NINTENDO that the Wii has no games? Does this view exist for the other consoles, I bet it doesn't. For example people look forward to Assasins Creed and is important to peoples lists. FF13/V important. It's a lame argument for fanboys. Let it go.

The Wii wil maintain or grow because it's not fanboy or people who actually know how to look at games past 1st party.
