They could make a 3D castlevania game, 3D characters and 3D worlds, but with 2D gameplay, like Viewtiful Joe, and that would be just GREAT.

Castlevania was my favorite NES game, and the first 8-bit game I ever owned (besides SMB). Ditto for SNES and Castlevania 4.

What I want to see is a giant castle, sort of like a free roaming Metroid Prime style game. Even if they did do a console game, and made it great, I'd be worried he'd put in horrible characters and even worse stories. CHARLOTTE! JOHNATHAN!

What ever happened to good old Castlevania? You know, not much story, for all you know the guy is just a vandal who goes into someone's house and starts whipping all the candles and abusing the residents. Bring back Simon Belmont, and none of that rooty tooty dainty anime crap. Put the guy in dead animal flesh and give him a beard and a crazy lazy eye that just goes round and round or something.

I guess they are focusing on the handles to offer a 2d castlevania experiece which is good I am looking forward Castlevania Order of Ecclesia for DS.
