Forums - Microsoft - BIG pile of 60 gig 360s at my local Fry's Electronics

I got a first look at the 60 gig packaging tonight.  My local Frys had about a dozen each of the 20 gigs and Elites but had about 30-40 60 gig units.

I picked up a 20 and 60 and put them side by side.  The boxes appeared to be identical in size and weight.  I read somwhere they were 2lbs lighter.  If so, I couldn't tell.  I looked all over the box for distinguishing characteristics like the power supply wattage.  Unfortunately, there wasn't anything on the box.

It really didn't look any different (packaging) than the 20gig save the "60 Gig" markings...

Now I just want to see one torn open.

Yeah. We are all waiting to see what the teardown on the 60GB model looks like.

It's more than likely that the new 60GB's have the Jasper chipset in them...If I had the extra cash to pick up a 60GB, I would, just for the teardown (I gotta buy my GF a X360 anyways).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yeah thought they would change the artwork to help distinguish it from the 20 gig.

how much was they selling for

They WERE selling for $349 for the 60 gig and $319 for the Pro 20 gig. The pro 20 was some sort of bundle. I didn't investigate what the bundle was but it was with a couple of games and something. I was busy looking for clues on the box that indicated wattage of the power supply. The Jasper should pull less power and I was hoping there would be something on the outside of the box saying something like, "Power Consumtion: 158W" or something like that. The most recent iteration was something like 175W or so.
