Forums - Nintendo - SimCity DS - too little, too late?

... too small. too slow. too etc...

Anyone else find SimCity DS lacking? One thing that it does for me is that, I actually got into SimCity4 all over again like it was year 2003.

SimCity DS is really simple and there's  not a lot you could control/customize. It just feel like I am playing SimCity during the SNES era.

However, while playing SimCity4 (again). I realized that game is really complex for new comers. There are tons of details that you have to keep track. And you have to build up multiple cities and connecting them in order to get your city to grow more. You don't really play a single city but the whole region.

I remember spending a lot of time learning much details about SimCity4. Rebuilding countless of regions where I basically throw away weeks of playtime on a region and start a brand new one. Obsession for perfection and all that.

And then I realized. Holy crap. I still have the same computer that I used to play SimCity4 in 2003.

I feel that SimCity DS is not worth a purchase for the "hardcore" but could be a good introduction to new players.

(anyone got some nice custom regions to share?)

Console/Handheld ports of PC game are usually (not always) not quite as good as it was on PC.

Edit: Never mind, kind offtopic, sorry about that, need sleep now
