@dtewi: If you're thinking anime, as in cartoons from Japan, then no. It's American.

I'll also add Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo/The Girl Who Leapt Through Time & Byousoku 5cm/5cm per Second to my list as favourite anime movies.
Both were astoundingly beautiful.

The best anime I have ever seen, bar none, is without a doubt Future Boy Conan. If you are at all a fan of anime, or simply a fan of high-quality entertainment, you owe it to yourself to check out this show. I have never seen its equal.

Hates Nomura.

Thanks for reviving it SSJ. I've been watching Gundam 00, which is now at episode 4. I have to say it's the best Gundam I've seen since Turn A so far. It's still early, but I think this will be a good series. Seed and Seed Destiny were pretty crappy, so it's a nice change. I doubt this will ever hit America, but for those who wish to watch it you can catch it on veoh.com.

Yeah, I watched the first episode so far and it was really good. No typical clichés and good characters. Also, I liked that finally Kunio "Please kille me" Okawara was NOT hired this time for mechanical design.

I already downloaded the 4 episodes but I hadn't time to watch them :/

Another very enjoyable show that doesn't look like it has been mentioned is Kaleido Star. I wouldn't recommend it to those who only like action-based shows, but it's a lot of fun and suitable for all ages.

Yeah, Okawara needs to stay the hell out of Gundam forever.  The guy remade the same freaking mobile suits every single anime he did mech designs for.  He barely changed any features on them, and for some reason people ate it up.  Ugh.  Anyway, the series is also directed by Seiji Mizushima who directed FMA and a lot of other good animes, and it was written by Yosuke Kuroda, who wrote many great anime/manga as well such as Trigun.   So yeah, it's a big change, but a good change.

Ranma 1/2 because I watched it a lot when I was younger, and has now become something nostalgic.

yu yu hakusho, dbz and shaman king(but im not sure if its anime)

Grappler Baki is great.

The most intense moments, for me, are whenever Mr. Ogre is around.

 Also, Claymore and DBZ.

Best anime ever!
Maybe some of you can help me with the name of this anime.
A family (Dad, mom, son) are lepers or inflicted with some virus.
So, naturally people shun them, but when innocent needs help they turn into these awful looking monsters that help em out.
This was a cool anime, but I forget the name of it.
