That's some great news for PSP owners. Now there are more games to look forward to on the PSP, along with Kingdom Hearts: BBS, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Patapon 2, LocoRoco 2, Star Ocean remakes, Resistance: Retribution, etc. This is the perfect time to get your own.

Whoa, whoa, Valkyrie Profile is a solid series. It's not exactly for everyone b/c it play quite a bit differently from other JRPGs, but this series is held in quite high regard.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Hopefully this doesn't take too long to get to NA/EU

some time in 2009 would be nice

Doesn't the Wii have some Chocobo games? That's enough, right???

On a serious note, I don't think Square hates the Wii as much as there just hasn't been a great opportunity to develop a bunch of solid Wii titles. These two PSP titles were originally mobile phone games so it makes sense to bring 'em over to the PSP. FFXIII on 360 makes sense b/c porting from the PS3 isn't difficult. It's not like anything truly new has been announced.

I'm betting that as soon as some o f these long in tooth Square finally come out, Square will move some of those developers over to Wii projects. Right now, all their teams are far too busy.

Agreed, and seeing how good they treat the DS, I expect great things to come to the wii from SE. Not to mention that they seem to be putting alot more work into FFCC:TCB than the GC game, and it seems more Final Fantasy like, and Soul Eater looks like it coudl be good(if it does release stateside). I'm sure they are working on more stuff. Its really hard to ignore the wii when you are a Japanese developer. Also the Chocobo Dungeon game looks good, and has above average reviews, so Wii only owners who are craving a Traditional rpg should check it out.

Wait! Have we actually heard any viable information about that game in the past year? I know there was that trailer but that's waaaaay old. Prove me wrong, but I still thinks it's vaporware.

Wasn't it the same trailer from 2006?

I have a bad feeling these PSP games are going to Japanese only.

No way dude.  Square is one of the best publishers about bringing things stateside.  Plus both series have done relatively well in the west.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
