It's been already done. Completing Mass Effect on the hardest mode rewards you with a gamerpic you can't get any other way. Won't tell what's in the gamerpic because it's spoilerrific and nobody deserves to have Mass Effect spoiled.
Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).
Charging for accessory options is to be expected. A range of options will be presented for free, and then like Picture packs and Theme packs, you'll have to fork over a few bucks. The choice is yours on what you'd like to do with your money.
I do like the quote about Bethesda including accessories with their game purchases. I think Microsoft should have made that mandatory across the board like with achievements.

Hmm if Sony made a decent OS I would just say bye bye to PC's and Microsoft forever.

That's pretty much his modus operandi for posting in the MS forum.
I could care less to be prefectly honest. I expected they would probably charge for certain things, just like they do for certain gamerpics and themes. If they cost money then I won't buy them, nobody is holding a gun to your head. I do like the idea of unlockable "gear" from games though. I know a few games did this for gamerpics (Mass Effect, PGR4, etc) but would like to see it more often.

Seems like that functionality is exactly how it is now. Gamerpics and Themes can be free, but there are also some that are not free. Games will be able to have gear unlockable(which is cool, because people can see that you achieved something without browsing through you game list). I just naturally expected this.

I read somewhere (probably NeoGAF) that theme & gamerpics are extra revenue stream for developers so I do buy some of the gamerpics from developer I want to support like Burnout Paradise. But yeah, there are plenty of free gamers pics and theme on 360 you can pick and choose from. I am using the free Madagasca theme and gamerpic now.
