We are getting completely off-topic...

As for the OP, I don't think Wii will be the most expensive console any time in the future unless the other two consoles are going to drop price pretty soon. Either that, or the Wii's demand exceeds our expectations here, and it will still be supply-constraint by the time the other two consoles make a price drop down to below $250.

I'm not going to deny the possibility, though.

360 comment. Personaly I think that the 360 has many features that will just cause you to spend more money. The major factor is the system is'nt reliable. I dont think custumers will buy something thats not reliable...

Well I read an article on yahoo saying something about parents buying their kids wiis for the price on holidays.

 

 

Sorry for coming on rude, but that doesn't exacly mean half of all Wii buyers.

And Griffen, "good" 3rd party games is entirely based on taste. Boom Blox may be better then GTA4 in the opinion of some multi-console owners, and vice-versa.

i think at this point price for the wii barely matters.  its low and thats what people want, nothing else.

but if they had all been 250 or the wii had been 350 (maybe 300) i think the wii might have had a run for its money with both the ps3 and 360.  honestly i think the 350 price or all at 250 would have killed the wii.

@Obliterator1700: You think casual gamers would choose a PS3 or a 360 over a Wii even if they were at the same price?? Come on lets be realistic, price is an important factor but the appeal is also.

How would you introduce your girl friends, an old person or a small kid to gaming when 90% or more of the HD games are far too difficult for them to understand? Wii on the other hand possess the ability to please newcomers, casual gamers and hardcore gamers at the same time, since its software library is much more diverse and caters to all age and sex groups.

In my country, Wii is almost as expensive as 360 and PS3, because the local distributor jacked up the price, but Wii is still selling like hotcakes.

Again I say: Xbox360 Arcade has been 200 euro for a while now In Europe.

This doesn't influence Wii Sales.
