"The first three stages of the game are set in Tokyo with a little bit more of the city getting revealed with each passing level. At the onset of each outing, the game lets you know how many folks you need to save and how much time you have to save them. On top of that, the game gives you the number of VIPs in the level that you can save for bonus points.
Each of my Tokyo levels started me on the street outside the northern evac area. I ran to town -- my cape flapping in the breeze -- and people began streaming out of buildings as I passed. As you come across a building filled with folks, a number will appear on top of the structure to let you know how many people are inside, and it'll count down as the group empties into your pool of survivors. From there, it's on to the next locale. You can hold down the X button for a night vision-like view that shows you where large groups of people are, move the right stick to scout the camera ahead, and tap the right shoulder buttons to zoom in and out. Circle will make the following folks bunch up on you in a tight formation.
