Forums - General - What music genre makes you feel "right"?

This question is kind've vague so I'll try to explain it better.

I've always liked 80's rock and metal.  Bon Jovi, Van Halen, EARLY Metallica, Guns N Roses, etc etc.

Whenever I listen to songs from this era, I feel like I've found my center and I should've been a teenager/young adult during that time period instead I got trapped with boy bands and pop stars. :(

So for everyone here, what music makes you feel "right"?

I listen to my son playing Bon Jovi and Guns 'n' Roses tracks and also listen to him playing them on one of his many electric guitars (sold his DS, Xbox 360 and Wii to get the last one!) and for some reason it's just not my type of music.

Alternate

Britpop

R&B and hip hop!

Your taste and opinions aside...I think you missed the point of thsi thread.

I'll go with indiepop....though I'm not sure that's a very good definition.  Bands like Modest Mouse, Sigur Ros, and Pinback certainly put me in a better place.
