I always thought this. There is no way with  the cost of making a games for HD consoles that M$ is gonna have another system out thats double the dev cost in 2010 or 2011. We all know sony keeps systems out forever and has never followed the 4-5 year life cycle. Nintendo is making so much money and selling so fast that in 2011 they will prolly still be out of stock (jokes of course but you get the point). Theres just no reason to make another console since all 3 will do well.

That won't happen. Microsoft aims to dominate the console industry, so an early release of their console will no doubt help them get ahead of their competition and get more games first.

Besides, the games are already using almost all of the consoles' full power. You will never get a Crysis in the X360 or PS3. A $450 PC makes the games look already better than any console could.

but sales of the wii makes PC games look bad......

but they are still working on new systems!

I anticipate 2011. MS was first out the door this GEN, and will try to be again.

Hmm, though it may or may not happen I can see Sony releasing its next gen console after it retires the ps2 which is roghly 2 years away.

PC games revenue totally crushes Wii PS3 and 360. That's a fact.
