In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.
Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

You may ask well NTSC are faster, better quality picture, better sound output, wider range of DVD's, video's and video games in America. Where did I find this info? It is well known to consumers. All I can say is Americans are the lucky consumers better video game consoles and some of the cheapest prices for all electronic goods found in the Western world (Europe and North America) are in the USA. |
eh?
Yes

And if you want to compare technology, America is the most backward when it comes to mobile phones. The Iphone has a great interface but the technology is still playing catchup. I had a touch phone with similar facilities years ago. |
That's so true. Especially in Canada.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
BAH SECAM for the win.
SECAM does have slightly better color IMO but it is always forgotten.
NJ5 of course the difference between PAL and NTSC and even SECAM(just changes the broadcast order of color from PAL) is going to equal out. These are broadcast standards and the limit is the bandwidth. Digital has allowed for compression to compensate the lack there of.
To the OP. Japan uses NTSC SE Asia uses SECAM(thanks to the french) Mid East uses PAL and Africa uses all 3(thanks european colonization)

How about a resounding NO.
NTSC has a lower resolution then PAL(let alone PAL+) and the differe nce in speed was taken care of when PAL60 was introduced.
Now with digital TV and HD there is no need to differentiate between PAL and NTSC either since all sets can accept the same digital rather then analog signals.
the thread should be "All 3 companys screw over europeans when it comes to features and content"
NTSC are faster - wrong I believe.
There was something wrong about some of the first video players in Europe (well, PAL), and they played 4% faster than the American ones. Many still do, as they kept selling the same ones.
Anyway, this proves that only the European suckers who can't even watch proper HD are the only ones really buying the Ps3. What does that say about the console?
Smart and proper Americans on the other hand, they buy Nintendo and Microsoft machines, which obviously are far superior.
So as you see, the main reason you believe this, is that Europeans buy Sony stuff.
