Don't listen to DMeister. LA is okay. Spend one day going through Hollywood and all that BS then get the hell out of there, drive to San Diego, and relax and enjoy a much nicer city.

San Diego is indeed far better. It has nice beaches, better weather and is a much cleaner city.

Then again I hate LA.

Trust me, as someone who spent ~7-8 years in each city, you don't hate LA as much as I do. On the other hand, San Diego is great.

no, I went there a few years back, horrible place. The only redeeming factor is the theme parks.

my advice, don't go, San Francisco is near and million times as nice
