Other than airport security....nothing changed.

I was at school when it happened and nope it didn't change a single thing to me.

Hey, I'm European and even I sometimes have nightmares about 9/11 (not so often anymore though). I imagine it must have affected Americans much more.

9/11 and its fallout affected us all, the world would be a difference place today if it wasn't for it. As for direct changes in my life, I can't say it changed anything.

I was 6.

I had no idea about the concept of death, hi-jacking, terrorism, crashes, the Twin Towers, and bad people.

It didn't change my life since I didn't care back then.

So Im the only one it directly affected? Kinda weird.

I was 15 I think, and just got back from school. Switched on the TV and saw some people starring upwards. the shot lasted 5 seconds, nothing was being said and all I thought was: Damn... most boring show EVER!
I switched channels but most showed the same, untill I saw the explosion and just sat in awe looking on. Watched the news for 5 hours straight I think.

But other then that, I doubt that if 9/11 didn't happen, I wouldn't be sitting in this desk on this forum.

The only direct effect it has on me, is that most of the events following 9/11 are still 50% of the news-section.

Hmm, what wouldn't have happened. Iraq, Afghanistan, Civil liberties crushed, Anti terror laws affecting everybody, false racial divisions the world over. I suppose if anything without 9/11, bush and all these things Obama would not have a chance.

Not really, but I remember what we, my friend and I, did that day. So... I was going home with my friend to eat dinner during school lunchtime. I saw my friend's dad in his truck (he was probably going to work), and he told us that the Americans are in deep trouble. We said ''Why?'' and that's when he told us one of the two towers of the World Trade Center got hit by an airplane. We couldn't believe it, so we ran to his house and opened the TV, and it was indeed true. We then decided to eat as fast as we could, and brought a portable radio to school so we could tell it to everyone. And, as we all know, another airplane hit the other tower, etc.

We didn't do anything else in school. We only talked about the whole thing with our teachers and all, and we also went to the computer lab. I guess the only thing it ''brought'' me was a smooth school afternoon.

Still, it's really sad for the family of the victims, and I did pray for them at one point. Let's just hope it was really the terrorists who did it and not an internal US government affair... That would be even more unforgettable!
