Hah, those people are nuts.  I'm suprised they haven't banned "ioi" along with "vgchartz", considering a couple posters were using ioi.com as a euphemism for vgchartz.com.

Except for the banning of the name VGchartz.com. That's not silly, that's offensively stupid. You don't ban a site because you don't think it's very accurate. you ban a site because you have much fear and no shame.

They really need to ban google.  You know, you could create a google "i'm-feeling-lucky' link to VGChartz on their forums and they couldn't ban it.  You could just make a new one if they banned the old one.  I guess you could do the same with tinyurl as well or any number of other services.

Seriously, those guy's are so hungry for sales data, yet they refuse to help/support someone who is trying to make the data available to the public. They were sooooo pissed off when the NPD(the Jack Thompson of sales data) started threatening the site, yet now most of them have fallen in line like good little soldiers.

I can't blame GAF for cracking down on the public display of NPD's private numbers, but many forum members there have really just bowed down to the NPD's bullying. Pathetic.
