I'm a fan of this game but that didn't look all that impressive , i'm sure the final product will rock though.

Ok, another example, jump to 1:28, you can see a guy running just to cover himself, and when the place no longer helps him, he runs looking for another place... (Since you are a moving tank you can easily catch him)
The enviroment is not destructible, but the concept is the same...
Great.. really.
As I posted on a separate thread some months ago: if they fix the two major flaws of the first game: collision detection and AI, we may get game of the year.
At this point, everything seems to be shaping perfectly for this game, even the multiplayer system impressed journalists.
Can't wait for this.
In that same interview they show some other AI stuff, they have a troop running around a Level, and they put more and more debris around and the Helghast react and avoid each piece.
During some other videos you notice that the AI's dying animations are affected by objects in the world, they will trip and fall over other troops and walls and polls. Plus the fact the one troop starts to run and hide when he has a rocket being pointed at him is great.
But one of the best parts is when Sev hides in an alcove and the Helghast follow him, he then shoots the guy in the face and you see him grab his face as he goes down and starts to bleed.

The game is not finished, it has till February to be complete and not to mention that they outsourced the AI to make it better. The E3 showing may or may not have had the other group's AI code in and could be why it "takes this little video down a notch". The video was good, I thought that ther company that they outsourced their AI to would be able to do more than that because that is their main focus. Still has a long way to go, so it could be better.

They probably are unfinished. Because the game is unfinished

Killzone 2 is unfinished as well, but the level that they have shown seems a lot further along. I am concerned that Insomniac is trying to do too much in too little time. The E3 gameplay demonstration had a lot of placeholder textures in it. They are trying to hit beta in 4 - 6 weeks. It's not a lot of time.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
Yea slowly walking to the next piece of cover and briefly stopping midway while not using any covering fire at all. That's erm great
Seriously guys stop lowering standards and letting developers think what should be normal for games is amazing.
Great a.i. would be when his cover was about to get taken out he threw a grenade then ran for more cover. Or fired off an entire clip to force the player to take cover then ran for cover. Also before his cover got completly and utterly destroyed. When he was having to lie down on the ground and it's clear the post was about to be destroyed, then move. Not after he's in the open.
The A.I. looks fine and servicable. However it does not look impressive.
Very impressive. The way the enemy crouches under the smaller and smaller cover and how he checks to see what your next move will be is strikingly realistic.
I'm very very impressed, hope to see more of Killzone 2 soon :)
The game is slowly but surely becoming a day one purchase for me.
