Forums - Nintendo - Activision will truly benefit from lack of nintendo games this fall.

Of course this is my opinion but I believe by nintendo not offering up more games this fall third parties will all see an increase in sells on the wii.The thing I want to say though is that Activison with COD and Guitar hero will be the one to benefit the most.

We already know that a gimped Guitar hero caan sell better on the wii than every other system except ps2(I believe)Now that World tour has dlc and the original buyers of guitar hero 3 will only have to get the game I believe this will slightly sell more than guitar hero 3 on wii and at a faster start.

COD:WW is already showing better visuals than the last COD on the wii.We already know it has some kind of Co-op and supports the zapper. It stated with a November release and with no big nintendo game in the way and buyers looking for someting to buy for the wii it is not to hard picture this selling better than COD 3 maybe even just over a million lifetime.

So what do you guys think am I on the right track or should I have taken a left at Albuquerque.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

Who knows, I'd rather see exclusive titles than gimped ports that succeed inspite of their shortcommings.

How are the ports gimped? Just graphics as far as I know and that can only be taken so far with the Wii.

GH:WT comes with DLC and GH Tunes on the Wii. It is not gimped compared to the 360/PS3 versions.

You bet me to it, but if onimusha meant graphics than he right but I'm not the type person to judge only on graphics controls matter to me too.

Sorry, I just have very little faith in Western developers when it comes to cross platform Wii versions of games.

I think Nintendo really planned in giving this Holiday to third parties. They need to make a lot of room for third party software since all first party are of quality to their respective genre's...

@Bolded,

I would imagine most would want to get the full package since the guitar has been substantially upgraded and other instruments have been added. Of course I'm sure if you can't afford the full package the game by itself is better than nothing.

As for your overall reasoning, it echoes what I pointed out in the aftermath of E3.  I commented then on the irony of people railing against Nintendo for not allowing 3rd parties a fair piece of the software pie and how those same people were now among those complaining that Nintendo has abandoned them and that they should be pumping out more hardcore games.

Nintendo is in a no win situation when it comes to those people of course, but luckily they are only a small portion of gamers and most of them aren't even Wii gamers to begin with.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Bwa ha ha!

Wii Music will outsell Guitar Hero 4: Wii version

I dont think Activision will benefit the most personally as GH will always sell well and not even launch of nintendo games on a nintendo console would take away from that.

I think GH and 2 Star Wars would sell regardless and it's games like Madworld, little kings story, my sims kingdom, deadly creatures and de blob that will benefit the most.

Hopefully these games get some good tv time
