Wish I still had the NES and Atari.....
I am pretty sure this thread has been done but who cares right ;)
Handheld:
GBA
Console
Nes
Snes
PS2
Dreamcast
Wii
The huge gap between snes and PS2 was cause I got into PC gaming early and stuck with it till my friend sold me his PS2 for 30 dollars and got a DC for 10 dollars at a yard sale
PC
First family comp (was so shitty but it played oregon trail :D
My first built PC
Upgrade first PC
Laptop
Console:
NES
SNES
N64
Gamecube
PS2(broke)
Wii
360(broke 7 times)
Handhelds:
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Nintendo DS
All original systems/handhelds that I purchased/received new in chronological order:
Atari 7800 - 1987 (loved all the original arcade games and it had the best ports)
NES - 1988 (switched from Atari to Nintendo because Nintendo was/is the shit and everyone had it... also had 3 of them at one point cuz they were made so shitty... stupid cartridge slot!)
GameBoy - 1990 (still the best handheld of all time, Tetris and Mario Land alone kick ass)
SNES - 1991 (Got it at launch... best system ever, no ifs ands or buts)
Top Loading NES - 1993 (saw this at Toys R Us for $50... much better controler design, and I never had to deal with that F'n blinking red light again!)
N64 - 1996 (Got it at launch too... second fav system behind Super)
GC - 2001 (Same... stuck with Ninty all the way UNTIL...)
PS2 - 2003 (too many good games to pass up, plus I received GTA Vice City for X-mas '02 by mistake, so that sealed the deal)
GBA - 2003 (wanted Metroid Fusion and Golden Sun)
DS - 2005 (second-best handheld, and i could play my GBA games on a bright/backlit screen too!)
Wii - 2007 (this was a fluke, the store i was in had 4 sitting on the shelves so i grabbed one)
Xbox 360 - 2007 (let's face it, Wii is a great system, but there's no way I could miss out on the huge library of true "next gen" games, and the 360 has the biggest library and best online, so there you go)
So other than PS2 and 360 it's been all Nintendo for me since the original NES came out.
Other systems that I got used or received from people that were getting rid of them in order of their original release:
Atari 2600... got from my cousins... hardly works anymore.. but that's what's my 7800 is for
Sega Genesis... got it from my cousin and a shitload of games
32X... got it used... what a piece of $#!%
Saturn... got it used w/ 5 games for $30.. good system, underrated IMO
PlayStation (original model)... got it from a friend, but that's cuz the disc drive was messed up, and it completely crapped out shortly after.
Dreamcast... used again... great system... if only it had more quality titles though. (Ironic that all of my Sega systems were obtained well after their respective demise... such was the way of a once huge Ninty fanboy haha)
Systems I still want for my collection... TurboGrafix/Duo, Sega CD, 3DO, Jaguar, and NEO-GEO AES.
And thats it boys and girls... tune in next time!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
