Well I bought an Xbox today for $60 at gamestop today, and boy do I have a story to tell.
So I take a ride to my closest gamestop (about 10 miles away) with the intention of buying the last 6th gen console not in my possession, the original Xbox. I arrive at the store and see games are on sale buy 2 get 1 free and proceed to pick up Crimson Skies and Conflict Desert Storm while getting Max Payne for free. I then see it, the xbox display and after playing with the 360 and PS3 demos in the store (while the salesman was on the phone in a store where he said i was the first person in there in an hour and a half) I ask him for a system and he goes back and gets one.
There it is, in it's nice gamestop box, just begging to be opened and played, i pay my money (and get the extended warranty for $10, cuz i have had too many systems die on me) and have a 10 minute convo with him on old systems like Atari and commodore 64 and i leave the store with xbox and games in tow. The second i get to my car, i open the box to find a modded console with a special Superman case, i shrug and figure it's whats on the inside that counts and i take it home.
I set my new baby up in a proud place on the middle shelf of my entertainment center, make my connections and hit the power, *FLASH* the Xbox logo shows and then followed by the time date adjustment... which is when i realize, damn, the controller isn't working, so i drive back 10 miles to the gamestop, where he sees the Superman system and says "geez, we must've got that from another store cuz we don't take console mods" and he gave me a new one! Yay!
Home i go once again and here i am, with a my new used Xbox and enjoying both gaming and it's multimedia with CD copying ability.
So anyone want to give me advice on what games i should get, i have already resolved to get Halo 1 and 2 and Bloodrayne 2 (i like that series, something about it makes me happy)
