Forums - Nintendo - Why do people dislike SSE?

Becuase most characters have screwed up jumps that arn't like in real platforming games, and it is nothing but screwy gimicky platforming and stupid fight against those... green and black things, whatever they are called. And the cutscenes are 90% characters running here and there, which is stupid. The other 10% are really cool though. Too bad I saw alot of the cool ones on smash bros dojo prior to playing the game. SSE was boring and multiplayer matches are alot more fun.

Like Monti said, it clearly was not the focus of the game, and it does show.

The platforming is horrid, and by association, the fighting, and the fucking maze sucks so freaking much. God.

I wish it wasn't that bad, but it really is. :'(

I loved it.

DMeisterJ summed it up better than I could have.

And besides, Americans are stupid because the opinions of a couple people you've read sum up the opinions of the 4 million or so Americans who own the game? I suggest you edit that out of your post, because it can be a ban worthy offense and it simply shows how unwilling you are to listen to the opinions of others.

Okay, I've been racking my brains out for five minutes. What does SSE stand for?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I personally enjoy the SSE. After playing it, I thought about how Namco or Square Enix could make a Smash Bros RPG or Square Enix could make a Final Fantasy meets Smash Bros RPG like Kingdom Hearts but set in the Nintendo Universe. There are a lot of characters and locals within games to choose from both on the portable and home console fronts.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

It was AWESOME, but the great maze was annoying.

My thoughts exactly. There are other minor problems, but for the most part, it played well.

Subspace Emissary.

DMeisterJ. Well yeah, that told me a lot. Essentially what most others have written.

And about that American joke, I seriously hope you understood that was a joke.

Come on, fellow Europeans? How could I be serious?

I try to listen to other's opinions here, but I honestly cannot understand them. People say the platforming aspects are too hard (not in this thread, in older ones), and those people are generally several times better than me at gaming. Still, I found it to be almost too easy - and I cannot see how it could be even remotely close to too hard.
