Check out this video by InvenSense that explains how the Wii Motion Plus controller uses both the accelerometer and gyroscopes to achieve full 1:1 motion control.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.
Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.

If laughing is the best medicine and marijuana makes you laugh

Is marijuana the best medicine?

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

“If any creator has not played Mario, then they’re probably not a good creator. That’s something I can say with 100 percent confidence. Mario is, for game creators, the development bible.

So much potential with that setup. Creates a whole new line of work for programmers when it comes to game balance. If you have a sword, for example, the speed of the sword being swung would dictate how much damage it should do. So if its a light swing, it should do little damage vs a heavy hit.

It's looking pretty nice when he wave a sword. But i still see some delay on it ,about 0.5-0.6 seconds.

Tennis, table tennis etc...wow.

How will the others respond? They will seem so old in 2009.

I didn't notice it, but if its there its probably poor editing of the film and not a HW problem.

More like .2 or .1, .5 would be a really noticiable for every movement...

I doubt it was even half a second delay when he did the "refined accellerometer tilt" thing.... you are exaggerating (or have no concept of how long 0.5 seconds is)

Delay? I don't remember any delay when they were showing it on the E3 presentation.

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

Delay would only be a programing issue. The electronics inside are fast enough that any delay generated by the actual technology would be imperceptible to a human.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Oh ,i just noticed he set accelerometers to "Low".This maybe why i feel some delay on it.
