whats the point of having an exclusive character if it wont be exclusive soon lol

Around the Network

Exculsive content: Ps3 because I like more titles on the ps then 360

Multiplayer: 360 wins this but heck I no longer have to pay for online gaming on the ps3.

System least played: From what I recall I played my 360 for longer cause I had longer...

Controller: Ps I love the controller its perfect.

Noise:360 makes more noise and everybody knows that.

Achievments: 360 wins this without a doubt on psn there is only 1 game with trophy support... I dont even have that game...

Online modes: ITs even

Plus I like vadar more then yoda so I would but it for the ps3...

Is this about SC4 or just multiplatform in general?

Firstly I would like to make the point that I find it ridiculous when people say ''I am buying game X for system X because I play that system the least'' What is the logic? Why not just buy whichever version is better. It just seems like people desperately trying to justify a purchase they regret. People should get the game on whichever system they will enjoy it more, not because they regret buying a system.

Anyway for MPgames I go for 360. Mainly because it's the only system my friends have as well. However I also prefer the online, I like achievements (trophies came too late imo), I much much prefer the 360 controller (I actually despise the PS3 controller, get rid of that awful design already sony).

As for SC4 i'll be buying it for 360 because of friends and possibly if Yoda and Vader don't go multiplatform I would rather have Yoda. Yoda may not be as cool a character but I imagine Yoda will offer a different play style to other characters while vader won't be hugely different.

So basically I would only buy a mp game for PS3 if there is some noticable technical difference between it and the 360 version.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

I couldn't make a reccomendation for SC4. I don't really play the game, but if I did, I'd rather have Vader myself.

As far as multiplats, it kind of goes either way. GTA4 I got on PS3, Civilization and COD4 I got on 360. GTA4 on PS3 because the game doesnt feel right with an XBOX controller to me - call me crazy. And Civ and COD4 were 360 because I would have lost a few friends if I bought it for PS3 probably. (Not really..but they'd have been pissed!). I actually wanted to get Civ for PS3, and was going to until 2 or 3 of my friends said they were interested in it.

As far as the controlls..FPS probably is better on 360, because IMO the controller has a little higher resistance when moving the thumb sticks, and it makes aiming a little easier whereas the PS3 has very little resistance. Racing games though? I can't figure out where you're coming from..IMO, the Playstation controller is and always has been way WAY better than any XBOX controller in terms of fighting games, simply because of the D-Pad. But racing games for me are neither here nor there.

For instance..I would never even half-consider buying SF4 on the 360. I don't care if everyone and their mother is buying it for 360, I'm just not. SF is the best fighting franchise in the history of gaming, so for me, controls is everything. Plus, I already have my Hori stick for PS3 - I guess if you have something similar for 360 it wouldn't be bad, but I'm past that point now since I already have it.

My thing about racing games, is much like your thing about fighting games, I by a long shot prefer the ps3's d-pad, and I prefer racing with the d-pad my style is to tap the left or right sort of in a nudging fashion for steering, I'm not terribly good at analog stick racing. so maybe the same is true for fighting I honestly haven't made up my mind only because I only have one fighting game this generation, and its the Naruto game from last year on the 360. I didn't mind fighitng with the analog stick, then again it did have a sort of 3d element to it, plus alot of the game is sort of platforming so it's hard to judge it, come sf4 I may totally prefer it on the ps3 because of the d-pad, I'm actually glad you mentioned it because I haven't given that too much thought.

does anyone know if someone makes a third party 360 controller that has more of a ps3 d-pad(or even a gamecube styled one)?

As far as the system least played, I ment at the time, like if I'm real into a certain ps3 game at the time and a new multiplatform game came out, I may keep that ps3 game in, and just buy the new game on the 360, to have something on that play.

And as far as your multiplatform  reason, I totally get that, if you own both it does seem to make alot of sense to keep your online  gaming to the ps3 and get it free. although since i've already paid for Live gold, I find that I buy more 360 online games just to get my monies worth from my gold account.

Oh and about the Vadar vs. yoda, I'm a little torn, I like Vadar way better, but I think I'd prefer to play with Yoda due to is speed and agility. But if he's in a dlc, I'll end up having both.

Although my 360 is actually my brother's, I do feel that I somewhat qualify for this, as we never get the same game for both platforms (excluding CoD4, because we both wanted to play it at the same time).

Anyways, I make my decision based on what version is the best. With my friends it's kind of half-n-half as to what console they own, so some games it comes down to my friend's tastes. My 360 friends are much more into shooters, and don't really play much else, but my PS3-owning friend's seem to be a bit more open-minded about what they play, and so I base decisions off of that.

I get your logic behind racing games. The only reason the PS3 has a better controller is because of the D-Pad. The 360's is more like another analog stick that just doesn't stick up as high to me, and the 2 REAL analog sticks being offset is just bad design for me. But hey - a lot of people play the 360 more than PS3, and probably feel the exact opposite. It's more about what you play more and are more comfortable using.

As far as the 3rd party controller, I don't know. That would be nice though, I'd buy a couple granted it was from a decent 3rd party company.

As far as the DLC goes, heres my opinion:

If both Star Wars characters are going to be available on both systems, then you can be sure that there will be other exclusives. Perhaps Kratos on PS3 and Master Chief on 360? I don't think that'll happen, just because Master Chief made an appearance in DOA, and if they were to do that again, it would be beating a dead horse IMO and proving they have no other stand-out characters. That being said, who besides Master Chief (and I doubt your boy from Gears would be, but its a possibility) could be a garunteed 360 exclusive?

I've heard rumors about Kratos, but I don't know if it's true - he could have to be unlocked, or could come out as DLC, or could not show on it at all. I don't see why both Star Wars characters would go to both consoles, because what's the point in making us think they're exclusive before it comes out, just for us to buy it and find out we were lied to? IMO, you have a lot of people (not a huge amount, but a lot of people I've seen post on here) that are buying the game for the console based largely on exclusive characters. If they released the 'exclusives' on both, they'd do nothing but pi$$ off a lot of customers. That's just the way I see it, I guess.

What would be cool is exclusive custom character accessories, like Master Cheif's helmet, or Kratos's weapons, and face paint. Stuff like that would be cool and simple. i do think after telling us for months the characters are exclusive and pushing people to make their descision based on the exclusive character it will piss some people off to offer them both through dlc. But personally I hope they do, as I would like to have both on the same game. I'm starting to think they just should have created five more star wars characters and made it Soul Calibur vs. Star Wars, darth Maul would have been sweet.

For SC4 I like Vader over Yoda but I heard they are both pretty lackluster fighters so it really doesn't matter to me. Either way I think both are pretty equal as far as gameplay but the final judgement will come down to which version has a discount used copy first.

Soul Calibur 1 & 2 are a few of only a handful of fighters I like but I don't like them enough to spend $60 especially with the influx of good games just over the horizon.

I usually go 360 over PS3 for multiplats for the reason that I have more friends who play online games on the 360. Just don't know many people IRL with a PS3 and a few of those only use it for BD playback :(
