I couldn't make a reccomendation for SC4. I don't really play the game, but if I did, I'd rather have Vader myself.

As far as multiplats, it kind of goes either way. GTA4 I got on PS3, Civilization and COD4 I got on 360. GTA4 on PS3 because the game doesnt feel right with an XBOX controller to me - call me crazy. And Civ and COD4 were 360 because I would have lost a few friends if I bought it for PS3 probably. (Not really..but they'd have been pissed!). I actually wanted to get Civ for PS3, and was going to until 2 or 3 of my friends said they were interested in it.

As far as the controlls..FPS probably is better on 360, because IMO the controller has a little higher resistance when moving the thumb sticks, and it makes aiming a little easier whereas the PS3 has very little resistance. Racing games though? I can't figure out where you're coming from..IMO, the Playstation controller is and always has been way WAY better than any XBOX controller in terms of fighting games, simply because of the D-Pad. But racing games for me are neither here nor there.

For instance..I would never even half-consider buying SF4 on the 360. I don't care if everyone and their mother is buying it for 360, I'm just not. SF is the best fighting franchise in the history of gaming, so for me, controls is everything. Plus, I already have my Hori stick for PS3 - I guess if you have something similar for 360 it wouldn't be bad, but I'm past that point now since I already have it.

My thing about racing games, is much like your thing about fighting games, I by a long shot prefer the ps3's d-pad, and I prefer racing with the d-pad my style is to tap the left or right sort of in a nudging fashion for steering, I'm not terribly good at analog stick racing. so maybe the same is true for fighting I honestly haven't made up my mind only because I only have one fighting game this generation, and its the Naruto game from last year on the 360. I didn't mind fighitng with the analog stick, then again it did have a sort of 3d element to it, plus alot of the game is sort of platforming so it's hard to judge it, come sf4 I may totally prefer it on the ps3 because of the d-pad, I'm actually glad you mentioned it because I haven't given that too much thought.

does anyone know if someone makes a third party 360 controller that has more of a ps3 d-pad(or even a gamecube styled one)?
