Forums - Gaming - I just got an iPhone.

Well, I just got myself and my GF an iPhone this weekend (her a white one, myself the 16 gig black), and I must say, the thing is very slick!

I got a few games for it, and they all play very well. This accelerometer in it is extremely accurate. Games like Super Monkey Ball are awesome on this thing.

I have to say, it just might be the next gaming handheld to contend with. It does what it does very very well.

As for everything else it does, it's years ahead of the competition (as a phone, MP3 player, PDA, internet device). I can see this thing changing my lifestyle with one little handled device.

I put pandora on it, and am listening to internet radio in my car now as my only form of music (that, and the 11 gig of music I have on the phone).

With meebo, I can instant message. There iPhone web space is very slick.

I now always have games wroth playing where ever I go... I have 3 full movies on it, a few thousand pictures, Google maps with GPS, youtube ...

The thing does so much.

Around the Network

i bought a new phone the other week, i ignored the iphone and got the Nokia N95, the N95 is a great phone, it has n-gage support for gaming, 5mp camera, GPS and MP3 playback, cheaper than the iphone too

Congrats on your new iPhone.

I haven't decided if I'm going to upgrade to the 3G yet. It'll cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-25 bucks extra than my current Edge iPhone.

Enjoy your purchase. It certainly is a versatile phone.

Really? The new 16GB iPhone he got was $299.

The 8GB is $199.

How much did you pay for the N95?

For me, 3G does nothing (I live in a small town). I do like the GPS however. That comes in handy when I travel. I am in a hotspot 90% of the time, so even if we had 3G, I would not be on it that much.

If I had an old one, I would not have upgraded. What sold me at this point, is the app store, and you get that with your phone :)

And thanks, other then my girlfriend spending more time with her new phone then me, I am loving it :)

I still dont got one but am hoping to get one very soon...enjoy it.
