I think its funny that there are all these JRPGS on the 360 yet the Japanese populous' stubbornness and Xenophobia keeps them from playing their most loved genre of games.

Or they play them elsewhere.(DS)

That's because none of the 360 RPGs are called Dragon Quest

Let's face it.  Console games in general are declining in Japan while portable games are more popular than ever.  JRPGs have an audience on handhelds.

Well yeah.... I love me some handheld JRPGs also, but sometimes you just want an epic console JRPG and the PS3 and Wii are not giving that.

I guess thats why that terrible Dragon Quest spin off on Wii sold well in Japan.

I never played it but from what I can tell, the Golden Sun series seems to be pretty epic

It definately was, but there aren't many more handheld specific non-port RPGs that were epic. I'd say Jeanne D'Arc was and I really can't think of any more.

Actually the wii is getting quite a few Jrpgs. I listed quite a few in this post.

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=995918 So I don't know where you are getting at with the wii not giving anything. I find it funny how the 360 has a few more rpgs than the other consoles and everybody thinks it is king. I see it about even. Even if it was king it isn't king in the same sense that the Snes, PS, and PS2 were.

What does it mean for an RPG to be 'epic'?
