I'd love a Master Of Orion type game that used the Homeworld engine for 3d-space battles. Sword of the Stars tried, but stunk rather badly IMHO.

Pax Imperia always seemed a bit too complex for my taste, and what's X3?

Well... It's a space simulator... to the extreme. You start out as a humble pilot. You have a old medium weight fighter/trade ship. (it sucks... hard.. It's slow, and has no guns, and goes BOOM easily) You can trade you way to power... seriously... Go to a power plant. Pick up energy cells, drop them off at say... a silicone mine... Pick up a load of silicone and take it to a crystal fab plant. Pick up some Crystals from teh fab plant, and go back to the Power plant. Rince and repeat. (I dont think the starting ship is big enough to hold silicone tho) But basically each space station needs certin items. The more it needs them... the more it pays. If it's 'product' isnt high in demand (aka they have alot of it) they sell it for less. If they dont have much... they sell it for more than it's worth. Or you can go find a pirate, and... persuade... him to eject from his ship, and... gain wealth that way. And once you have more than one ship... you can get buy Trade computers, that you can get ships to trade within a system... and once they get so advanced... within the galaxy... and even more adavanced... they use the Jump drive... And one you aquire even MORE wealth, you can BUILD your own space stations... and MAKE your own resources... and create a 'circle of wealth'. AKA: Powerplant, Silicone mine, Crystal Fab, Cahoona bakery, cattle ranch. You build all those stations, and link them together in a complex. You have infinite resouces... you just need to find someone willing to buy yours stuff... XD As you expand your wealth more, you can buy stations to build weapons... and With a new patch.. you can buy a station that builds ships. You can buy ships that are good for nothing more than scouting... to ships That can carry 100 Heavy Fighters. (and yes the AI is there. you select a 'wing' and say 'undock and KILL' you see a swarm of ships undock and attack) Now your talking... BILLIONS of ingame money... and let's just say... your first 10million will take you probibally over 48 hours ingame... ;) It takes around 50million to get that 'loop' And the ship that can carry 100 ships costs 100million. and each ship in it... costs about 4million. Also, you can make missles... missles are awosome... There is nothing like X. EDIT: http://www.egosoft.com/ EDIT2: http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=2810&cc=US EDIT3: And if you wanna be stupid... if you got more money than you know what to do with. Buy 100 of the carriers... and fill them up... declare war on all factions... and destroy the universe... buhahaha! (yes you can do it)

Definitely a sandbox game with caveman theme. You could swing axe and club, throw spears, rocks etc., ride a horse, woolly rhino or even a cave lion, team up with other cavemen to kill a mammoth, make fire with the "indian style". There would be possibilities to tame animals (by adopting animal babies for example) for different purposes like horse for riding, wolfs for combat, or sheeps for food. There would be lots of different goals like coming the leader of the neanderthals and/or sapiens, kill sapiens, kill neanderthals, become a master of the beasts or a superb warrior, etc. The game could take place in Neander valley 30,000 years ago. I've also thought of sandbox game in a huge space station that goes havoc. There have been tests with creatures that break up free and become stronger day by day. You have to decide how you defeat them, in which order, alone or taking care of a group of soldiers etc. Lots of different tactics like limiting one creature to a small area by controlling air locks etc. The point is that no matter what creature you decide to take out the last, it will be the most difficult. You could also try to tame some of the beasts and use them in combats but there would be risks of course. The guns would be energy based, with microwaves (burns the skin), gammawaves (burns the intire body), laser (smoking holes), hydrogen based flamethorwer (the hydrogen is formed from water using energy), liquid nitrogen (freezes the foe) etc. Each foe has it's own unique weaknesses. I'd like to see also a manipulating game a bit similar to Geist, but with Mewtwo theme. Wii could really pull off Monkey Island or Broken Sword types of point'n'click games, but some of the more tactical ones are limited by not having high definition, since it's useful if you are able to view lots of information on the screen. Some already existing franchise that I wish will be made for Wii: -a proper Zorro game with whip and sword action, horse riding, shooting etc. (there's one coming, but I don't know about the quality) -Kill Bill -Castlevania -A proper 3D Mega Man -GTA -Okami -Kid Icarus -God of War
I really like that caveman theme. That team idea sounds awesome. Taking down a giant opponent, but instead of a robot it's an animal, and instead of guns you use spears. Something about that makes me smile.
diamuerto, ignore it, it's just your primal instincts trying to wake up after a few millennium of non-use. ;)
