Forums - PC Discussion - My mouse just broke, anyone have any particular suggestions on a new mouse?

There are some pretty high tech mouses out there

I don't want to waste money

I play PC games so if there's reason to get those ultra slick "gamer mouses" then try to talk me into it

THANK YOU

cool thanks!

why do some of them have like 9 buttons and stuff?

What would you use them for?

And I notice they all have cords

Are wireless mouses bad for gaming?

I have a wired mouse now, but I'm sure there are drawbacks to wireless mouses

Thanks!

I've tried Razor branded laser mice (Microsoft Habu). They're pretty good, albeit a bit pricey. I prefer the almost-just-as-good-and-cheaper Logitech MX-5XX optical mice - they seem to be more accurate in linux than laser mice.

wireless is horrid. Typically they cant be as sensitive in game at all.

9 button is typically a bit overkill but you camn set all the buttons to do whatever you want. Like mr two right side buttons are forward and back for reg use but quick switch and reload in CS.

ewww, the Habu is like the worse of the mice because Razer really didnt put any effort into that mouse.

ya but i like using q and r for quick switch and reload, it would probably feel uncomfortable to switch it to the mouse!!!

Wouldn't it use the same laser...thingy...as the rest of the Razer mice though?
