Forums - Sony - Pirates of the Burning Sea- Pirate MMO coming from Sony for PCs

http://kotaku.com/gaming/sailing-takes-me-away/soe-sails-the-burning-seas-to-e3-272401.php

We told you about the Flying Lab Software agreement with SOE first last night , and now Sony Online Entertainment finally catches up with some hot press release action, including word that Pirates of the Burning Sea will be presented at E307 as part of SOE's lineup. The star of SOE's lineup I'd daresay. SOE VP of Business Development David Christensen mildly downplays.

Maybe a console release for this game now that Sony has signed this deal?

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I doubt it...SOE makes plenty of MMOs, but it's best left to the computer until keyboards are more accepted on consoles...who knows though.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

One word for you: Huxley. That game is going to begin the console MMO craze I tell ya. Look it up on 360.

I'll just stick to Lord of the Rings Online for now.

Being a hobbit = WIN

After what I experienced in SWG, I would never buy anything from SOE. I've never seen a video game company so completely lie to and betray its customers.

True dat. Unless they totally re-vamp their MMO division (read: fire everyone), then customers will pay $15 a month to be shat on.

SWG was fun while it lasted...at least for me. That was my first MMO, and I've yet see the same kinds of custimization, mainly housing, in other MMOs.  I joined a little before Jump to Lightspeed came out, and I left a little after the Combat Revamp.

I didn't buy WoW, but I saw plenty of it. I played SWG, a little Lineage II, and Guild Wars.

Now I'm in Lord of the Rings Online, which is amazing. I'm a hobbit minstrel, playing music to slay my foes and heal my allies! I drink eat, drink, smoke, and talk about the three!

But still...personal homes like they had in SWG would be a godsend...the only problem I see is that it clutters environments and often makes things laggy. But it didn't seem like a huge issue in SWG....

Picking your own house design, or heck, flying in a space cruiser with 15 people inside, in a hot tub I put on the second level of the ship, watching in real-time out the huge windows as we passed Tatooine, with both TIE Fighter and X-Wing player escorts on my side. (I was part of a neutral guild, and we invited both Imperials and Rebels...they liked to escort my ship sometimes for protection, and just cause it's fun)

Man...Star Wars Galaxies could have gone somewhere...
