They'd need to raise around $20B-$30B, but with a big name like Sony, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem. That's how MS diversifies and moves itself into conglomerate status like the big boys such as GE. They have been making noise about getting into consumer's living rooms, right? What better way than to buy the people who make the TV's? It has nothing to do with Nintendo and everything to do with Sony. The Wii was just a nice little gift to MS to move the process along faster. Now THAT is speculation. It's actually pretty fun. :) |
Ummm, you only need to post the same thing ONCE in a thread, ok? Second, you have to be kidding if you think people wouldn't buy the hottest new console because they might feel "betrayed" by a merger? Wow, brand loyalty only goes so far, but if a PS360 is the only place MS fans can get MS, and Sony fans can get Sony, they are both buying the damn thing, no ifs, ands, or butts about it. Unless they DON'T want to play ANY console games besides those on Nintendo consoles, and I don't see that happening if they are hardcore Sony/MS fanboys. Everyone else definitely wouldn't care. Your thinking is severely flawed.
