Forums - General - Do you care about politics?

well?

i ask because the voter turnout during the last general election here in the UK was just 61.4% of the electorate (people who can vote) and i have met many people who ever know little or nothing about politics.

Personally i care a great deal about politics, as it effects not only me, but every citizen of the country.

I am a young American who cares a great deal about political issues. If I don't vote, i have no right to complain. Simple as that.

i dont vote yet, so i dont give a shit.

personally if i did vote i would probably just join the crowd anyways.

Well one political party here in NZ is rumoured to be offering an election bribe that would give me ~$150 a week for the next three years. So yes, I am voting.

I can't vote yet

but I do listen some of the news on politics...

61% turnout is pretty high as opposed to in the US where about 54% participate in presidential elections thats the highest turnout voting time. I plan to vote and politics is important for me for shaping the future.

I have only actually voted once before and it was only in a primary however I picked my state's winning candaite and the candidate whom won their party's nomination. And i will be voting for him again in the general election.

"Like you know"

It is compulsory to vote in Australia providing you are enrolled to vote. I am not enrolled to vote and I never intend to enroll to vote. I do not see the point of voting for middle aged men who lie to the world. Every word that comes out a politician's mouth is a lie.

@Rock_On. A bit of an exaggeration. Though I must say voting would have been pointless last election because either way you were getting one of the political twins.

I care pretty much about politics, and not just domestics. Politics cross borders so I follow everything major that might affect me.

I'm very much into politics, aswell.

Aside from my own country (the UK), I am also deeply interested in American and Chinese politics, as well as the EU on the whole.
