I was wondering if anyone on this site has ever heard of or played Neopets.com. It's a site where you take care of a virtual animal and play flash games and enter contests and stuff to make money and buy things for your pet. They have a lot of old school games remade with Neopets characters and such, and they have what I think is the best RPG ever.

Note that I believe the battle system in an RPg is more important than the story, so keep that in mind.

The game is called NeoQuest II and it is in the style of the old Dragon Warrior games, especially DWII. The game has you make choices about what attack you want to do with the damage being calculated with just like in DQ. You get up to 4 party members, and they each have their own strengths and abilities. Everytime you level up, you are able to put a skill point into a category whether it is faster speed or more damage or abilities that each character can learn. You have limited levels to gain and cannot max out every skill, so you have to choose wisely. 

I love this RPG and think it is the best RPG ever because the battle system is extremely well done. Turn based goodness, good abilities that make you think before you spend skill points, and the game can become very hard if you play it on the hardest difficulty. I was just wondering if anyone has ever played this game before. I've beaten it 3 times, and am currently on my 4th. If you want to play it, you can sign up on Neopets for free and jump right in. I think it's a fantastic RPG if you like turn based, older style RPGs. Just letting you guys know.

Neopets is hardly unheard of and it's generally not talked about here much because 1) it's just not that good and 2) it's for 6 year olds and their moms.

I've heard of Neopets before.... But I must have missed this... sounds like something to check out.... I wonder if I still have my Unicorn.

Neopets is aimed mainly at children so he still has a point.  I have heard about Neopets.com or whatever it's called but I never went to the site and probably never will

1. We're all allowed our own opinions.
2. I don't see where you see trolling.  Everything Neopets is aimed at children and their parents.  That's their target audience.  I'm not saying other people don't play it, it's just they're targeting a specific audience and that specific audience generally don't come on sites like this.
   

If that specific audience did come to this site, it would be terrible.  They would turn away the older current members and potential members from the site

I'm not saying Neopets.com is unheard of. I'm saying on the site their is an RPG called Neoquest II and it is very well done. Also, it seems aimed at hardcore RPG players, that's all. It's a really good game that I think a lot of people are missing simply because it is on Neopets.com. The site itself is definitely for kids and all that, but Neoquest II is a great RPG I think any RPG fan should at least try. That's all.

It's similar to Dragon Quest?  I'll pass.  Why would a turn based RPG be on a kid's site?  Kidswill not go anywhere near turn based RPGs unless the name has Pokemon in it
