with my ps3 i have this really annoying problem where when i go to play call of duty 4 online, i go into find game and it says "downloading game settings" forever. Most days I spend at least an hour turniing off the ps3 and turning it back on< unplugging the net etc and with only rarely getting it to work. This is so unbelievably annoying u can not imagine with cod4 being my favourite game.

Can anybody give me some some tips on how to fix this terribly annoying problem PLEASE!!!!!

What type of internet connection do you have? Wired? Wireless?

What type of router?

Wired, samsung speedstream 4200

delete the file for cod4 then re download the update. worked for me.

I was going to suggest a lot of rescue methods if you were using a wireless router. But...thats over now

This happened to me once and someone suggested that I reboot my router and modem. It worked for me. The game will eventually move beyond "Downloading Settings" but it can take an hour.

they had this problem on live when cod first game out maybe its a problem with psn ?
