Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It'd be nice if mods bothered to PM people with an explanation when they lock their threads for no apparent reason.

Signatures. Signatures will be no longer than to the end of the time stamp in a single line post. Quotes in signatures are subject to the approval of the quoted member. You must remove a quote of a member from your signature if they ask you to do so. All content in a signature is subject to moderator approval. Failure to comply with these standards will result in moderator action

The moderators haven't been strict enough! Where is the enforcement of the forum rules?

If people would report more long sigs I would happily make people shorten long sigs.

sure thing, twesterm. In this thread alone:

psrock
alucardremixed
rath (but his avatar is small so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt)
spdk1
kirby007

all have too long sigs. Sic em, boys!

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I would add Valkyria00 to that list too the length of his signature is on par with a couple of people on that list.

When I tested my sig I used a very large font =P

In any case it's edited now to be smaller.

Mods are supposed to leave a message in a locked thread for why it was locked.  About the only time I don't do this is when the reason is completely obvious, but the person is usually getting a long ban in those cases so the locked thread is the least of their concerns.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Just out of curiousity, what do you have to do to become a mod? Im obviously not asking so i can become a mod myself (god forbid) but what?

Are the mods people who know ioi in real life? Or did ioi think they posted well and rewarded them with mod status?

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
