There’s no fighting game that can match Soul Calibur’s eye for the dramatic and thirst for flair, and even with the new ropey English voiceovers and the less than perfect PS3 D-pad, there’s really nothing better out there.
Oh, look there, the review also mentions that the PS3's directional pad sucks. According to your stigma, the PS controller is the "best controller for fighting games." There ya go. Believe it now, Sony guys. Give it all the credit you like. Oh, you can choose to cherrypick out parts of the review you like.
Like in the last post like this, the guy left out the line from 1ups review:
As of this moment, the PS3 version has the technical edge, since it allows you to install to the hard drive for faster loading times -- but with the upcoming Xbox 360 update that allow gamers to similarly install any game they want, it's almost a moot point. The Xbox 360 version's advantage rests with its exclusive guest Star Wars character, Yoda. The PS3 version is saddled with Darth Vader, but Yoda is the better character of the two, as he's sprightly and nimble, as opposed to the slow and lumbering Vader.
Yes, someone actually created a topic and left out the bold section, and indeed said that this proved the PS3 version was better.
That is called cherrypicking and using quotes out of context.
It just goes to show the lenght people will go to prove their version of something is the best, no matter how miniscule the difference.
Well, here's the truth that everyone knows.
There is virtually no difference between the capabilities of the PS3 and the 360, graphically.
For my money, if you're trying to decide which one to buy, go with which system you already own. Otherwise, Achievements > Trophies.
Thanks.
