I'm actually toying around with the idea of buying another 360 for some system link goodness with my bro. So yeah, I'd buy it again.

Dead Rising was also the game that got me to take the plunge.

Yes indeed. I would most certainly buy it again. I still feel that I have gotten the most out of my 360 over the other two consoles. More than worth the dough for purchase.

Year and a half is a gross exaggaration. We have had a top notch title to play ever since the day that Warhawk came out last August. I did not play anything on my 360 after Perfect Dark Zero untill Gears of War came out. Today, both consoles have enough games to keep me going but PS3's exclusives are coming at a steady rate every month or two. |
Waiting until Gears of War came out after only playing Perfect Dark on the 360 is also a gross exageration if you ask me. Both of the systems had their fair share of decent to good games. But honestly, the 360 had a better variety of good games than the PS3 did in the same time span. At least for my tastes.

I would def buy again and b/c of the 360 I don't have to worry about Christmas gifts for my GF as well. She likes playing the Viva Pinata and she want's to try some of the upcoming MMOs since she doesn't have a gaming PC.
At the time I bought the 360 a year ago, it was definitely worth it due to low number of titles I wanted to play on the PS3, which was seeing more use as a movie player. There were about 4-5 big games that had accumulated on the 360 I was ready to buy at the time so it wasn't a tough decision, sweetened by the ability to play the movies on HD-DVD that were not available on Blu-Ray.
Competing media formats always = lose for the consumers. HD-DVD no longer a factor.
What would have probably been a better choice was to do a PC build at the time as all the big games I've bought and enjoyed for the 360 have been published on Games For Windows.
With the PC I bought and modified after buying a 360, it is now pretty redundant as a gaming platform. Given the choice between 360 version and PC version, I'll buy the PC version (better visuals and performance minus the 360 license fee). I've already played enough PC versions of 360 games I already own for it to be crystal clear which version I'd rather be playing.
The 360 only beats the PC in terms of convenience and simplicity. Faster start up, no tweaking of settings, no quitting of background apps, etc. Assuming the player had a decent, current mid-range rig (dual/quad core CPU, 3-4GB RAM, 512-1GB video card with an 8800 series or newer GPU), the 360 loses much of its allure. XBL on PC is now free, so even the XBL argument for the 360 is a bit deflated.
But there are enough 360 only games (mostly minor titles rather than big multi-platform titles) to make the platform worth having, and since I'm not the kind of person who wheels and deals in secondary games and hardware as it isn't worth my time or effort, I'm keeping it as a secondary platform.
Because of the games I already have and the ones I'll buy in the future, I will be buying a second 360 even though I've had no hardware problems of any kind at all.
However, I won't be buying that second 360 until late into the console cycle when the redesigned 360 with standard 60GB drive (or whatever is the standard by then) is priced under $200. Probably in another 2 years or so. By then, it will only be as a spare console in case anything happens to the original which seems more likely than not.
Of course I would. I just bought mine in early June when Ninja Gaiden II was released. I actually went to the store to buy a PS3 when Wal-Mart was selling it with the $100 gift card, but the lure of NGII forced me to buy a 360 instead. No RROD problem so far(though it did get my brother when he bought his 360 a few weeks before me) and I've enjoyed every minute of it. The best thing about the 360 as a console is Live. The Wii is still my console of choice, but Nintendo should really take some notes from MS when it comes to online. I love firing up the 360, knowing I can download a ton of demos, check out what my friends have been up to, see who is online and what they are playing, be able to freely communicate with persons I play with, and adding people to my friend list without fooling with some archaic Friend Code. Now I just need some money to buy some more sweet games and I'll be set. :)

Hell F#$king Yeah...
I've pruchased 4 Xbox 360s...
My first launch unit, which I sold when I bought my Elite. Then I bought an arcade for my nieces (younger sis kids) for their x-mas and another arcade for my nephews x-mas (older sis kids)...so I'm a huge 360 supporter!
I would buy again. I purchased mine in February 2007 and have had no issues. No RRoD (knock on wood) issues.
