Are you trying to be witty? If so your comment really made me laugh.
If not ostracized means exclude or banish (a person) from a particular group or from society

You will be able to download the orginal from XBLA soon. I for one am happy to see a different take on the platformer

Look how well Mario and Zelda do with subtle changes over time. People complain its the same game for 20 years but it still sells phenomenally. |
Exactly what I mean. A small group of fans complain that Zelda and Mario are too much of more than the same but the sales of the game that tells us that everyone else couldn't care less about that

How fresh do you have to make a "Franchise" that has only had 2 games (on home consoles) and the newest game is almost a decade old? You might have a point with other series that have had 10 games in the same timeframe as Banjo-Kazooie's 2 ...
The thing that many publishers and developers do not understand is people have always (and possibly will always) enjoyed "conventional" platforming games when they're done well, and the only reason this genre has "disapeared" is because of how few good series there are. When people started hearing about a new Banjo-Kazooie game I suspect absolutely everyone saw it as the return of one of the few series that rivaled Mario in terms of quality; the fact that they abandoned the gameplay that made everyone enjoy Banjo-Kazooie, and they're creating a game which seems entirely unrealted to anything that existed in Banjo-Kazooie before, makes people very nervous.
When you take people's questions about the direction of the game, and combine that with Rare's questionable quality of recent times, it is understandable that people will complain about this game.

Same thing happened with Final Fantasy XII
