My personal vote goes to Metal Gear Solid 4, no game has ever blown me away as mgs4 did, and my second vote is LittlebigPlanet seems like a cute and innovative game!

Possibly, but there is alot of competition in that genre this year. There is IU , and ToV on the 360. Then on the ds you have Chrono Trigger Port( That would almost be guarunteed Rpg of the yearif it was a remake), Soma Bringer(Might come to the U.S), the world ends with you, FFIV remake, DQ remakes, Maybe DQ IX if the rumors of simutaneous release are true. I'm sure there are many more. I guess it depends on if Fable 2 comes out like it is hyped to be.

Chrono Trigger > all RPG's coming out this year (and just about every other game too, except Ghostbusters of course :P)
I don't care if it is lazy port, unlike something like FFIV it does still stand up against games of today.
The only reasonable contenders this year so far are:
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Metal Gear Solid 4
GTA IV
But the holiday season will completely change that.
