SO, in a rare turn-o-events my wifey will be ditching me for a girls out weekend of fun at the beach. I did the appropiate research and made sure this was a "no man allowed" beach, so it's all good.

HOWEVER, this leaves me with a weekend of no rules and fun! So my friend (his wife ditching him too) decided that a retro-LAN party will be a great idea.

ANYWAY, this is were the good people of Vgchartz comes in. We need game suggestions. The rules of suggesting a game are as follows:

1. games are > 7 years old

2. LAN-able Mulitplayer (OS doesnt matter)

3. Freeware and/or easily cracked.

4.FUN!

Here are the games we have lined up already. Starcraft (of course), Jedi Knight, and Descent.

Duke Nukem 3D or Shadow Warrior!

What is Shadow Warrior about?

Diablo 2
Doom 1/2
Ghost Recon/Rainbow 6

Counter Strike 1.6

It's an FPS made by the same guys who created Duke Nukem 3D. It has the same style of humour as Duke Nukem 3D.

C&C Red Alert, i forgot about that game. That's going on the list.

We have plenty of FPS and RTS, we need flight/dogfight games too.

Diablo II.

No one has any flight or dogfighting games to recomend? I was thinking Descent or Wing Commander, but I dont know which Wing COmmander is the best LAN playing one.

Descent II if that's not on the list.

I don't know enough flight sims off the top of my head...X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter might be fun though.

How old's Team Fortress? Because that can be fun as well.

A retro theme is cool, but when my friends and I do LAN parties, we search for random Source mods...some of them are crazy, some of them are just stupid...it's always fun though.  We play Quake games as well...good old school FPS fun.
