The game is suppose to be great but I still rather get TWEWY and I still haven't gotten it yet.

LOL nice one. @pichu_pichu, if u r an rpg fan, I think u will like it. @silverlunar777, I LOVE ur avatar :-)

I've played through IV before, but this is really almost a whole new game when it comes to strategy (is it just me or is gil more scarce)...

I can't wait to get some battles on with Whyt.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

why in the world they call this FFIV?? when it should be FFIII

This game first came out on the Famicom system (aka NES in NA), it
came out before the NA release of FFII(JP version IV) and FFIII(JP Version VI) on SNES.

Pk you are wrong.

Final Fantasy I is the same in both countries.

Because JPN's II (NES) and III (NES) were skipped.

IV/(U.S.)II was always on Super Famicom/SNES.

Thanks :3 A lot of people said this too. =P

Anyway I finally have my copy of the game, but I have a lot of things to finish to even think of starting to play it yet.

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

Chocobo brain damage!!! Here, drink this diet Coke..*runs*

Currently playing :

VC - Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen
Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
DS - Glory of Heracels

So how much has the remake improved upon the original FFIV?

aww, see now I don't feel special for saying that ;-). Wise decision, this game is not something that u can just play for a little while, u'll spend hours without noticing (well for me anyways).

Lots. The most obvious improvement is the graphics, it looks better than FFVII. One thing I liked that they added was the voice acting, Kain's voice just adds a new level of sheer awesomeness to my already favorite character. There are other things improved here and there that while by itself may not be a big improvement, but together, adds up to a stellar package.

The VA is fantastic.  Cecil is debatable but I like him when I have the head phones on.

The 3D maps are more than just a 3D version like in FFIII, they are more flowing.

Auto mapping is a great feature.

Battles are harder.

There's less gil.

Less inventory in the shops.

New Tech/special skills (a step up from the GBA version, I feel)

Touch Screen is crappyoptional.

Battles are much more entertaining.

Battles are more customizable - speed, active/passive.

The translation is better.

Music sounds better.

Graphics are really nice.

Art style is a great balance between Amano artwork and FFIX in game style (with out tails).

In-game/in-engine cutscenes are nice.

Summons and spells have animations

Multiplayer element with Whyt, with brain training style mini-games to bulk him up.

People are already saying that this version of FFIV is the ABSOLUTE version, for how great it is.
For any RPG fan here DO NOT MISS THIS GAME! I am 90% sure that you will love it.
