Major Nelson, the Xbox Live Director of Programming, has posted a list of the top 10 most-played games over Xbox Live, revealing that Halo 3 is once again at the #1 spot. Soon after Call of Duty 4 was released, Halo 3 fell to a second place, while the release of Grand Theft Auto IV saw Bungie's first-person shooter in a third place.

It could be because of the free map on 7/7. Although I am not sure if this includes that time period.

It really shows off the quality of the game if it can be on the market for so long after so many similar iterations that people come back time and again because its simply fun?

Halo 3 overated? Not!!! xD
