I think, generally, we would agree on most things.  HOWEVER...

The thing is... when a minority is so overwhelmingly opressed in such automatic ways... don't you think you have to give a little ground?  Don't you think it's reasonable to think a womone might be offended and angry by a game like this and lash out considering everything that has come before?  That maybe the people who made this game should have though "okay... I wouldn't think seriously about this concept but I know that people would totally have in the recent past, and some loud minority still do"?  Or if nothing else should admit that "We didn't think about this before but we realize we should have?"

there's nothing wrong with stating reality. the only reason why these people are complaining is that they are, in reality, unhappy with themselves, and feel like shit when they see what they really are depicted so truthfully in media.

its a waste of time trying to discourage people from buying such a game, for the more people complaining about it, the more people will be interested in it. grand theft auto wouldn't be so popular now if congress hadn't gone and plastered the issue all over tv, saying its "too violent". if feminists take this matter too seriously, it could wind up being a culture phenomenon.

that being said, do you see senior citizens raise their arms in alarm at seeing solid snake as an old man, frequently grabbing his back due to pain and coughing ceaselessly? no. because at least, they understand who they are and what reality is for them, and they take it in stride.

i have always been against feminists not because of their ideology. i actually believe they're right, in fact. the problem is, they just overreact too much about reality. they just can't accept facts. they turn comedic material into malicious stuff like a bat of the eyelash. its sickening to see how low feminists would stoop just to have their complaints aired publicly.

there are way more important matters to "whine" about then a little game.... people like the women who run that site seriously need to get a life and focus on other things like protection our rights as gamers or the world outside of video games.

Also, how about not being blantant fanboy trolls with the comments. The PS2 sucked? wtf is that? You dont put that in an article. That made their entire site lose credibility.

I read about this earlier in another blog, but in the comments section it went from absurdity bashing Sony in general. Pfft women, i'll still buy the game. First RE5 is racist, now Fat Princess is deragatory against plump women. What's next? Dead Space pisses astronauts.

That is exactly my point. There IS a HUGE cultural stigma here. That is the point. Fat men? Well they can be okay. If they are rich or successful or really funny. There are exceptions there.

Fat women? Always bad. I would even venture to say they are worse if they are rich or successful.

I am not saying that any women/men war or fighting is a good thing. What I'm saying is... surely you can understand what slight unreasonable arguments might come from the female side when they have been so beaten down throughout history?
