 Sorry I completely disagree with you. Gears 2 has far more detailed environments and from E3 playthroughs loads more enemies onscreen to. E3 it was easily clear which looked better. That demo in M$ press conference was jaw dropping. Even I didnt expect that much of a jump from Gears 1.

WHAT WHAT WHAT! You think that Gears 2 looks better then killzone 2? gears 2 just looks like gears one with an ambient oclision light added. One char in killzone 2 has more pollies and TRIs then an entire level in killzone 1.

 

 

IGN and others who played both at E3 gave the graphics notch to Gears2 too you know.

Both 1up and gametrailers both disagree with you.. yes i said both twice. This was the third time. Triple.

And gametrailers doesen't even like the ps3.

Right, thanks for proving my point guys, Killzone2 is NOT leagues ahead of Gears2(if at all) and going by what people who have played both say(hehe) that is the only conclusion one can make right now.

Yet for some people here it seems inconceiveable that Killzone2 might be approached or even worse bested by a 360 game(and one that is releasing months before K2 at that).

It shatters their preconceived notions and tests their biases and they cant have that happening now can they?

Mass Effect has other issues apart from shinyness, but I think that fits with the sci-fi theme.
Gears barely looks shiny, but if you want HD beauty, look at the water in Uncharted... it's awesome

Also, I think Killzone 2 looks far sharper than Gears, but I dont think I can really judge on a small screen, nor do I really care which ones looks slightly better, I just want 2 great games
Also, more people would be complaining about the greyness
