To be fair, though, box office revenue is only 1 of the few other ways that a movie makes cash. The DVD industry is just as lucrative.



Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

TDK is a great movie, most deserving of all the praise it gets and the money it is bringing in.

However, I think that if you consider inflation... the biggest selling movie ever is not Titanic, but Gone With the Wind.



My guess is it will fall just behind Pirates 2 when all is said and done.



Everyone keeps saying that Titanic is the number one grossing. But, according to my "Top 10 of Everything" book, TLotR RotK took that position.

I've always heard Titanic won by a long shot. Don't know if it's accurate, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_films backs me up
