They already have the correct sides for the steering wheels? Or do you mean something else? In GT5:P if you get in the TVR for example you are sitting on the right-hand seat, as with all cars in Britain. If you get in a Viper, say, you will be on the left.

While I agree with many of your points I think 4 and 5 need to stay in games like Need For Speed, where they belong. Also I'll be disappointed with just 500 cars, 7-800 is the right amount.

yes, what i mean is that i'd like an option to ride british cars on the left side, and american cars on the right side, if i want to. i'd like to be able to choose which seat i'd like to drive from in the in car view.

4.) i'd like to see it coz in online racing, i'd like to feel like my mercedes slk is actually different from the other guy's.

5.) GT has always had excellent car customization features under the hood, but i'd also like to see some aerodynamic options just to again, make my car feel unique from the rest of the people i'll race with online.

as far as the number of cars, i just don't want to see 'car fillers'. i only want to see quality cars, not those things that are just in there for the numbers. if they can make 7-800+ cars of all quality, then i'm all for it :D

Oh I see what you mean. My mistake. My own view is that I like the cars having that kind of characteristic, but if it's an option that isn't forced on me then go right ahead.

The problem with that kind of visual customisation (which is what I was complaining about, not the under the hood part) is that it isn't very "Gran Turismo". Every car is not only depicted as true to life as possible but also comes in only the colours it does in reality. So while customisation like that has perhaps some use online it would immediately harm the emphasis on unforgiving realism, which after all is the crux of the game.

There are always useless cars in GT, but I always think that makes you value the good cars more. Games that feature only high end cars completely lose the feeling of just how good it is to get in one.

i always thought that the strength of the realism of gt has been in how the car drives really :) but yeah you have a point there. but i wasn't really talking about making the cars look ridiculous with flames or the like. i only meant things like an option of adding numbers on the doors, maybe more options on where to place racing stripes on, options to paint some parts of the car differently from the rest of the body (like maybe the side mirrors are black and the rest of the car is white), placing racing stickers, etc. yknow, to make it look like a stock car or just a total custom job on the outside. just minor options to make the car express the driver's personality :)

as for the cars, the filler cars i refer to are those incremental upgrades on existing ones already. for example, in gt3, there were i believe three versions of the lancer evolution seven. i don't think that's really necessary. yeah, i agree, even if there's already an evo 7, the evo 4, 5, and 6 should be there too. but i don't think there needs to be multiple versions of the same car. i think that the space would be better used for completely different cars altogether.

If GT5 gets damage in August or whatever and the damage has absolutely no affect on the car's performance then that'll be completely useless since the game is being a car simulator and all.

Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U

Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY

Maybe its time I get this game, but I get this ffeling that I should wait. So many cars such graphics as demonstrated in gt5p. This game is insane I cant wait!

I do hope they make it optional like in Forza Motorsport 2.

GT4 Mobile will be released after GT5 is released, so 2010 at the earliest.

the tracks would take the most time to model. consider they need a team to fly to the actual track, taking thousands of pictures, recording track data, then go back to the studio for modeling. according to them, each track takes like 6 months to model.

everything you listed were very good points and they were in most of the GT fans' wishlist since before GT4 came out.

i dont remember where but someone said they plan to make it that the cars able to be totalled. and you will have to rebuy the car again. if this is true, im really looking forward to it.

there are a lot more in the wishlist like official g25 support. it works now but its not supported officially. as well as tire marks. dirty cars, so washing it actually does something. its really alot of features to look forward to but im not sure if i should really expect that much and be disappointed in the end.

after all they did a great job with the peologue except for the online part. the handling physics is really a big boost from gt4. though AI still has tons of room to improve...

Brands I want to see:

Lamborghini
Porsche
Koennigsegg

^_^

Damage isn't mentioned on the official JPN site.

I doubt it will be in the update.

PSN - hanafuda

I want to see more real life tracks, especially something like Road America.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

oh yeah, the tire marks and such would be great too, but minor upgrades really
