Gran Turismo has always been my favorite series in the entire history of gaming, so since now that idiot (whom i idolize) is taking his sweet time in finishing the full game, I'm filled with anxiety and can't help formulating expectations.

1.) at least 500 cars, and i'd like to see more from Jaguar and Mercedes Benz (possibly the mclaren f1). i'm aware that GT4 had 700+, but i thought that some of it were just there to increase the number and only cluttered the list. i'd like to see more quality in cars, vehicles that i actually want to drive.

2.) at least 50 unique tracks, which must have the nurburgring (yes, its been in previous GT's. just saying its my fave :D). i'm not talking about reverses or parts of tracks. i'm talking 50 locations, not 50 'variations', while also making sure that there's an option to have night races on each of these tracks.

3.) option to play my own music while driving. the GT series has always had good music tracks, but i wanna race to Black Sabbath and Metallica..

4.) option to paint cars in custom colors, including emblems and lettering. not to the point of it looking ridiculous, but merely some more custom paint options to make cars look unique from another guy owning the same car (like for example, the option to paint whatever number i want on the doors or place stickers on the bumpers).

5.) more customization under the hood as well as aerodynamics, such as rear and front spoilers. i'm a part time mechanic and i wanna see more things to tinker around with. yeah, there's already a lot of customization and tuning to be had in previous GT's, but i wanna see more.

6.) option to have each car as either left hand drive or right hand drive. i'm in a country wherein cars are standard left hand drive, even imports. the in car camera view is by far my favorite, and it just feels weird driving in the right side. i'd like to have the option to drive a british car on the left side if i want, or an american car on the right.

7.) AI that actually pushes the player to the limit. i notice that the AI seems to be pulling some of its power back in order to give the player a chance to catch up. i don't want none of this.

8.) weather effects. i'd like to see real rain or snow falling down on tracks, and feel the different experience of driving in these conditions.

9.) big scheduled racing tournaments held online. yeah its a stretch, but its something that will definitely make GT5 without equal.

10.) damage modeling? i kinda am torn about whether or not this should be included. i think its not necessary, honestly, and would rather look upon my cars in their pristine shapes. its kinda heartbreaking to see beautiful cars with such degrees of damage. still, it would be interesting to see how realistic they can make it.

i pray to the gods of polyphony digital, please don't make GT fans wait till 2010.

You know what I want to see? The fucking game. The finished game sometime before I die. If the game does release in 2010, I hope they start working on GT6 right away so it can release around 2020. At what point of production to they run into the problem of having to update all the models of the cars to the current production year models because of another delay. I didn't know that 3D Realms had a Japanese office.

yeah, seeing the game is top priority. still, since they're already taking their sweet time, at least half of these demands should be met.

2) Well I heard, but I might be wrong, that they are focusing on making the quality of the cars higher.

6.) yeah, isn't that what you said? what i want is an option to drive all the cars from whichever seat. i think it would cater to more people who live in areas where left hand driving is a standard and want to drive british cars, as well as vice versa.
