Free trials for XBLA games do not expire, same with demos for disk-based games.

I also have an issue with the noise, though i suppose it is because I have been spoiled by my PS3 which is silent

Actually the issue with noise is mostly on Mass Effect, but technically that is a terrible game

Some of the old versions are noisy. All new 360s are quiet.
